His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman attended a match in the quarter-finals of the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) Under-20 Youth League where Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah helped DPMM FC to a 3-0 win against Panchor Murai FC yesterday.
Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa’ Raihaanul Bolkiah binti Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah were also present at FABD Field ‘A’ in Berakas.
The Gegar Gegar Youth took the lead through Safwan Zawawi Sazalee in the 19th minute before team captain Muhammad Hakeme Yazid Said doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Awangku Mohd Syafiq Hilmi completed the scoring in the 78th minute to ensure DPMM FC secure a place in the last four of the competition.
In another quarter-final clash, Wasan FC edged KB FC in a narrow win at the FABD Field ‘B’.
Wafi Syah’nizan ‘Alfizan opened the scoring for Wasan FC in the 21st minute before Syahrul Hakeemi extended the lead in the 63rd minute.
Benedict Joseph reduced the arrears for KB FC five minutes later but Wasan were good value for the win. – Fadhil Yunus
