Guests were treated to a true cinematic experience all set against the backdrop of the lovable bear’s newest adventure.

Created by Michael Bond in the late 1950s, the lovable bear from Peru has captured the imagination of readers and cinema goers across generations. Paddington is more than just a bear in a duffle coat. He’s a brilliant example of how the creative industries can tell stories that touches the heart, makes us laugh and also carry powerful messages.

Paddington is a global symbol of British creativity and storytelling – a character who teaches us that even in challenging situations, a little patience, good manners and a lot of marmalade sandwiches can go a long way.

His adventures are beloved around the world for their deeper messages of kindness, inclusivity, and respect for diversity.

Speaking at the event, British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Alexandra McKenzie, said, “Paddington bear has always symbolised kindness, inclusion, and the importance of helping one another. Today’s event is a reflection of those values, and we are delighted to share the magic of Paddington’s story with you in Brunei. This premiere is not just a celebration of British film, but also an opportunity to deepen our ties with the local community and highlight the importance of inclusivity.”
