“I feel empowered to give back to those in need,” said 25-year-old Mohd Assraffi bin Haji Ibrahim during his third donation at a blood donation campaign organised by Trillion Company, in collaboration with Sim Kim Huat Trading Co Sdn Bhd and Borneo Kopitiam Restaurant and Catering in Kampong Sungai Hanching recently.
Mohd Assraffi who said he will continue to donate, also encouraged others, especially first-time donors, to consider donating, highlighting the health benefits and the life-saving impact of their contributions.
The campaign set a new record for single-day donations in Brunei, with 302 successful donors out of 357 registrants. The event saw Acting Director of the Department of Laboratory Services at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Dr Hajah Nor Azian binti Haji Hafneh accept a donation of 10 blood donation chairs valued at BND20,000 from Trillion Company. The chairs will be allocated to blood donation teams at the MoH.
Acting Deputy Director of the Department of Laboratory Services Dr Haziq Fikry bin Haji Abdul Momin and Head of the Blood Donation Centre Chong Kim Moi were also present. – Fadley Faisal
