Brunei Darussalam and Oman are both governed by benevolent monarchs who demonstrate deep respect for tradition and leadership, providing stability and vision for their people, said Omani Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Erma Said Mohamed Al Kathiry.
She said this during the ‘Oman-Brunei Relations: A Thriving Present and Promising Future’ symposium during the Brunei Book Festival 2024 at the Indoor Stadium yesterday, held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brunei and Oman.
The ambassador added, “As we gather this morning to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Oman-Brunei relations, we are dedicated to exploring new opportunities that will deepen and enrich our cooperation.”
Hosted by the Omani Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the Omani Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the event featured speakers, Principal of the Brunei History Centre Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong and Assistant Researcher at the Omani Studies Center of Sultan Qaboos University Tahani bint Abdullah bin Salim Al-Hosni.
