QAF Auto Sdn Bhd announced the all-new BMW 1 Series yesterday, marking the fourth generation of BMW’s iconic compact vehicle.
Known for its bold design, dynamic performance and cutting-edge innovation, the 1 Series continues BMW’s 20-year success story in the premium compact segment. Whether it’s the sporty BMW 118 or the high-performance BMW M135 xDrive, the line-up is designed to excite drivers across Brunei.
The series was officially unveiled at the Brunei Half Marathon 2024 BMW Edition by Deputy Permanent Secretary I at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi, with Director of Youth and Sports Hajah Umi Kalthum binti Haji Abdul Karim, QAF Auto General Manager Alisa Khoo and QAF Auto Head of Sales Eugene Lim.
With a dynamic design presence, completely revised drive portfolio and improved chassis technology, the all-new BMW M135 xDrive has sharpened its profile as the sportiest vehicle in the competitive environment.
Meanwhile, the race brought together over 1,000 participants, celebrating endurance, determination and the spirit of performance that defines BMW. Bokhari Sufian was the champion in the BMW male open, with Khairul Hazwan Nor in second place and Hanafi Nayan in third place, while Jia Jia Yap won the BMW female open, with Rofini Zainal in second place and Fathin Mahfuzah binti Haji Abdul Manap in third place.
The winners also won the tickets to run in the BMW Berlin Marathon in 2025. – James Kon
