The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC) has been appointed as the health working committee for the royal wedding under the Ministry of Health, through its Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) and BRC.
BRC’s appointment covers providing medical coverage during the procession of the royal wedding on January 14.
The BRC medical team is made up of first aid walking team, who will be responsible for providing first aid services and ensuring public safety at the event with the team to be stationed along the Royal Procession route from Istana Nurul Iman to Royal Regalia Museum.
Twenty-two first aid posts are put up along the route, with the involvement of personnel from the higher institution cadets, districts platoon members, officials, and trained public volunteers who will serve as first aiders.
BRC has received donations from Trane Aire Sdn Bhd comprising 250 first aid vests, while DSC Engineering Sdn Bhd has contributed 50 tactical first aid pouches and an emergency trauma bag. The items will be used during the procession. – Lyna Mohamad
