The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a joint roadblock operation with enforcement agencies at several locations nationwide on Wednesday that also involved personnel from the Land Transport Department (LTD), Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Lamunin Police station conducted a joint roadblock at the areas of Bukit Barun, Jalan Lamunin led by ASP Ivy Han. Seria Police station also conducted a similar operation at Mumong Highway heading to Seria led by ASP Muhd Zulfadli

The operations successfully uncovered several offences under the Road Traffic Act, including driving without a licence and the use of unauthorised tinted windows.

Additionally, personnel from the RCED discovered contraband items, such as cigarettes, in possession.

The operation is part of a series of initiatives conducted during the year-end holidays, aimed at ensuring road safety for all users and enhancing crime prevention efforts.

Meanwhile, the RBPF reminds the public to always adhere to traffic regulations and laws to ensure everyone’s safety.

Additionally, members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and ensure their homes are secure before leaving for extended periods. – James Kon
