RBPF holds charity donation ceremony for orphans

A charity donation ceremony for the orphans of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) was held at the RBPF Mess Banquet Hall, Police Headquarters in Gadong on Thursday, December 26.

The event was organised by the Welfare Body of the Police Wives and Families Association (PEKERTI), involving 76 orphaned children from RBPF.

The guest of honour who presented the donations was the spouse of the Acting Commissioner of Police for the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Chairwoman of PEKERTI Datin Sabrina Aziemah binti Abdullah Chong.

Also present to assist in the donation ceremony was the Chairwoman of the PEKERTI Welfare Body Dayang Rokiah binti Joly @ Julai, along with other members of the PEKERTI Executive Committee.

The PEKERTI Orphan Fund was established in 2007, and the fund’s financial resources are collected through contributions from RBPF officers and members, private individuals, as well as public donations. The fund was set up with the noble intention of supporting orphans, particularly the children of RBPF officers and members who have passed away, in recognition of their services to the RBPF.

In line with its objectives, this donation ceremony aims to ease the burden of single mothers and guardians of the orphaned children, helping them prepare for the upcoming school year in 2025.

Such events have become an annual PEKERTI activity and are an important part of its efforts to provide heartfelt donations specifically to the orphans of RBPF. – James Kon
