A closing ceremony was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam Religious School in Kampong Mulaut where around 250 teachers from religious schools in Brunei IV participated in the Ramadhan Tedasrus Al-Quran for Religious Teachers in Brunei IV on Tuesday.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Acting Director of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Hajah Mariana binti Haji Jamil. This was followed by the recitation of surahs led by religious teacher Mohd Azwan bin Alawi.
The Tahlil and prayers were led by Jaman bin Haji Munap while the Khatam was read by Pengiran Haji Mohd Irwandy bin Pengiran Haji Matahir, also a religious teacher.
The ceremony was further enlivened by a Dikir Marhaban performance and continued with the presentation of souvenirs to retired teachers by the special guest.
The Ramadhan Tedarus Al-Quran for Religious Teachers in Brunei IV is an annual event organised by the Committee of Religious School Leaders of Brunei IV, aimed at enriching the month of Ramadhan through charitable acts of worship, earning multiple rewards and blessings during the holy month, as well as strengthening the ties of fellowship among the religious teachers. – Fadley Faisal
