Members of the Kampong Sibut Religious Hall in the Temburong District in collaboration with congregants and youth from Kampong Sibut and Kampong Sumbiling held a sepak takraw tournament recently.
The tournament aimed to further strengthen ties between committee members and the congregations as well as encourage promotion of religious activities to mosques and suraus.
The tournament was also highlighted with religious events involving all ages in conjunction with the recent school holidays.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri handed over prizes to the winner.
The tournament also aimed to promote the importance of practicing an active lifestyle through sports and to encourage youth to join activities conducted by the Mosque Affairs Department. – Azlan Othman
