I recently had a severe ear infection, and the doctor at a private clinic in Kampong Sengkurong prescribed an antibiotic eardrop.
Unfortunately, it was out of stock at his clinic, so he advised me to get it at a nearby private clinic.
When I called one clinic to inquire, I was told the eardrop would cost BND17. Being frugal, I decided to call around to compare prices and was surprised to find that the same eardrop was only BND10 at a clinic in Gadong.
Why the significant price difference for the exact same medication?
I hope that the authorities will consider monitoring the pricing of medications, not just essential goods and commodities.
