While I applaud the initiative to resolve the pothole issue, I believe more thought ought to be put into gravel selection.
I recently drove over one and had my car tyre punctured. On close inspection, I was surprised by how sharp the rocks were.
I’m also surprised by how common the practice is. Sure, it’s a quick fix. But without tar over it, these gravels roll and move. Within a week or two, we’re back to where we started.
