The Temburong Police Station recently conducted a successful operation targeting locations suspected of selling contraband items. According to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the operation was initiated based on intelligence gathered by law enforcement.
Officers discovered several cartons of smuggled cigarettes hidden at a food stall allegedly involved in the sale of illicit goods. During the operation, a local man was detained, and a total of 265 packs of cigarettes, believed to be smuggled from a neighboring country, were seized.
The case has been transferred to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation. The RBPF urges the public to refrain from engaging in any criminal activities that could harm themselves and their families. – James Kon
