Team Permata Hijau emerged victorious in the Veteran 50+ category of a seven-a-side football tournament, defeating PSJD ‘A’ in a penalty shootout (3-2). The match ended 0-0 after regular time.
Mumtaz and TJ FT shared the third-place honours. Panatui Abdul Wahab from Permata Hijau was named the tournament’s best player.
Organised by the Lun Bawang Murut Brunei Association (PLBMB) as part of the ‘Irau Tupeh Padey 2024’ event, the tournament was held at the Temburong Sports Complex. Seven teams, including one from Sarawak, Malaysia participated to promote football development, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
Acting Temburong District Officer Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, the guest of honour, presented the awards to the winners.
