Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Oxford Green Innotech (Oxgrin) joined forces to advance sustainable energy technologies in Brunei Darussalam.
The partnership, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), focuses on clean energy solutions, particularly hydrogen energy. Oxgrin’s innovative catalytic ammonia decomposition technology, which powers its ammonia-fuelled generator, is already operational at UBD.
“This partnership marks a significant step forward in our mission to advance sustainable energy research,” said Vice-Chancellor of UBD Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle. “By combining Oxgrin’s cutting-edge technologies with our academic resources, we aim to enhance research and educational opportunities for our students and faculty.”
Oxgrin Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Dr Simson Wu shared similar sentiments: “We are excited to formalise our partnership with UBD. This collaboration will enable us to provide greener and more accessible energy options for communities across the region.”
The partnership will not only focus on technological advancements but also on raising awareness about sustainable energy practices and developing educational programmes.
The strategic alliance is poised to position UBD as a leading centre of excellence in sustainable energy research and innovation. – Fadley Faisal
