Perseverance, patience key in face of challenges

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah urged the people to exercise perseverance and patience in the face of challenges during the holy month of Ramadhan and the COVID-19 pandemic.               In His Majesty’s titah from Istana Nurul Iman to mark the first day of Ramadhan for 1443 Hijrah, broadcast on Radio Television Brunei last night, the monarch said as the country marks the third year of Ramadhan in pandemic times, Muslims must always accept Allah the Almighty’s will. Guidelines for mass gatherings, domestic activities updated

With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the COVID-19 Steering Committee announced updates to guidelines on mass gatherings and domestic activities, including vaccination status no longer a requirement to enter premises or participate in activities in the Sultanate. 18 men arrested for cock-fighting during Belait raid

666 children get immunised against COVID

As of 2pm yesterday, 666 children aged five to 11 had been administered with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on the first day of the Sultanate’s National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme for the age group. COVID in UK at record levels with almost five million infected

Migrants clash with security forces in southern Mexico

TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ, MEXICO (AFP) – Migrants travelling by foot in a caravan clashed with security forces on a highway in southern Mexico on Friday.
