Over 80 fishing enthusiasts gathered in the Belait District for the Surf Cast Fishing Competition yesterday.
Legislative Council member and Acting Penghulu of Mukim Sukang Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann, the guest of honour, was welcomed by Kampong Pandan ‘B’ Village Head Morney bin Amat.
The guest of honour walked along the coastline and met the competitors and even tried his hand on casting and reeling in a catch.
Despite having no catches, the participants received prizes through a lucky draw.
The annual competition was organised by Kampong Pandan B’s Village Consultative Council.
