In conjunction with the Day of Action campaign, students and staff from the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences conducted a community outreach programme at the Kampong Pandan Community Hall, Belait District yesterday.
Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad launched the nationwide Day of Action campaign.
The ministers were welcomed by IBTE Satellite Campus Principal Dr Suhaimi bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Head of School of Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences Zaitunah binti Haji Kurus, IBTE senior officers and staff members.
The programme, led by final-year students, featured exhibitions and booths focusing on health science to promote awareness and understanding of health issues.
As part of the initiative, the programme also extended support to underprivileged families in the Belait District by providing food necessities, which the ministers distributed on behalf of the campus.
The ministers toured the health science exhibitions, guided by students, to learn more about their efforts in raising health awareness and promoting community well-being. – Daniel Lim
