The Women’s Bureau of Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council (MPK) held its second ‘Membaca Al-Quran Satu Hari Dua Halaman (1H2H)’ programme.
The event, at the Mukim Sengkurong Community Hall aimed at encouraging women to read Al-Quran daily.
The 1H2H programme concluded with a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony involving 40 members.
Chairperson of the Women’s Bureau Hajah Rukiah binti Haji Mohd Yassin was the guest of honour.
Advisor Datin Hajah Rohanie binti Haji Ahmad, Deputy Chairperson Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mirasan and spouse of Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ acting village head Lauyah binti Haji Mohammad were present.
The bureau by promoting daily Al-Quran reading, aims to cultivate a reading culture among its members and the community, fostering a generation that is well-versed in Al-Quran. – Lyna Mohamad
