The Nurul Islam Association of Brunei Muara District, together with the Muallaf Development Division (Muallaf Empowerment), Islamic Da’wah Centre, with the support of the Committee Members of Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Sungai Akar, organised the Ilal Hijrah 1446 Ceremony at the mosque on Sunday.
Present as the guest of honour was the Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre Awang Haji Abd Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
Also present were invited guests, members of the Nurul Islam Association, students of the Muallaf Guidance Class, officers and staff of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, as well as Committee Members of Masjid Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, Kampong Sungai Akar.
The programme included recitations of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Selawat Tafrijiyyah and a sharing session on “Why I Embraced Islam” by new converts. The ceremony was enriched with a lecture and concluded with Dikir Syarafil Anam.
Such events are hoped to provide knowledge and guidance to new converts in understanding the event of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and to enhance faith and piety towards Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
Furthermore, to bring about positive changes in the daily lives of Muallaf by understanding the true concept of Hijrah through the celebration of the Islamic significant day “Ilal Hijrah”, while drawing lessons from the event of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
