The Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department organised a ‘Nostalgia Night’ event to commemorate the 54th anniversary of the renaming of Bandar Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan.
The event, held in the heart of the capital, aimed to evoke memories of the past, particularly the old buildings of Bandar Brunei.
Several activities were organised, including a screening of the documentary Memperingati Penukaran Nama Bandar Brunei Kepada Bandar Seri Begawan and a local movie. Additionally, exhibitions of decorated bicycles and rickshaws were held, and food and drink vendors were stationed at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, Jalan Pretty, Jalan Elizabeth II and other areas at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien. – James Kon
