The nightly Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah Tedarus ceremony at the Istana Nurul Iman entered its 10th day Wednesday evening, with the attendance of Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid and officers, staff of the Ministry of Development.
Religious officers and teachers from the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI) were also present.
The ceremony began with mass Isyak prayers led by Pehin Khatib Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Metali Al-Hafiz who also recited the doa while sunnat terawih prayers and the doa was led by Ustaz Mohd Aizat bin Haji Ahmad.
It then proceeded with a religious talk on “Fadhilat Surah Al-Mulk” delivered by religious speakers from the Islamic Dakwah Centre (PDI), namely, Ustaz Pengiran Haji Jufri bin Pengiran Haji Hidup for the male section, while at the female section, the talk was delivered byUstazah Hajah Siti Noraziah binti Haji Asli.
The Tadarus Al-Quran concluded with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The religious event was aimed at enlivening and intensifying acts of worship and religious activities throughout the holy month of Ramadhan. – Lyna Mohammad
