NewJeans drops Korean version of “Supernatural”

(ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – K-pop sensation NewJeans has released the Korean-language version of their Japan debut single, “Supernatural,” delighting fans with a fresh take on their hit song. 

The release, dubbed the “second installment,” was unveiled in a music video posted by their agency, Ador, on Friday.

The new video not only showcases the fivesome performing “Supernatural” in Korean but also features an intriguing storyline twist. 

The clip includes a breaking news segment hinting at an increase in supernatural phenomena and mutant creatures, adding an extra layer of excitement for viewers.

NewJeans’ single album has been a chart-topping success in Japan. It held the No 4 spot on Oricon’s weekly combined single ranking for two consecutive weeks and dominated the daily single ranking for three days. 

Despite being originally sung in Japanese, “Supernatural” achieved impressive international recognition, ranking No 14 on Billboard’s Global Excl US chart and No 25 on the Global 200 chart. Additionally, it made its mark on Melon’s Top 100, peaking at No 8.
