The public can purchase the latest philatelic products of the Postal Services Department, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications at its post offices nationwide.
The commemorative stamps and official first day covers in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 40th National Day anniversary celebration will be available from today.
The new products comprise five stamp designs with a denomination value of 20 cents each, while the value of the mini sheet stamp is BND1.
The design featured on the mini stamp sheet is a contemporary conceptual illustration in the form of a poster depicting the main layout elements of each year’s Brunei Darussalam National Anniversary Summit Event with the five main elements – giant flag carrier, seven Brunei ethnics, the main oath reader, traditional performance and the march past flag carrier.
Post offices will sell the official first day envelope with five stamps, first day covers without stamps, mini sheet and full set stamp sheet with 25 stamps.
Meanwhile, a cycling event in celebration of the 40th National Day will take place tomorrow at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien. – Lyna Mohamad
