ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – K-pop boy group NCT Dream unveiled their first English single, Rain in Heaven, on Friday. This track is a nostalgic ’80s-inspired pop song infused with drum n’ bass elements.
Mark, a member of NCT Dream, contributed to the lyrics, delivering a heartfelt message of comfort and support to those feeling weary and overwhelmed, offering a sense of solace to their global audience.
Mark, who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, is a native English speaker.
The music video showcases a hopeful narrative, where the seven members unite at the world’s final moment to embrace a fresh start.
It was filmed in Thailand to add a mystical and dreamy mood to the clip further enhancing the song’s refreshing and emotional charm.
NCT Dream is set to perform Rain in Heaven for the first time during the American leg of their world tour, The Dream Show 3: Dream( )Scape, kicking off in Bogota, Colombia on August 31.
The K-pop act is also celebrating its eighth anniversary with a special live broadcast on YouTube, Weverse and TikTok on August 25 at 1pm. – Hong Yoo
