Mohammad Sahan bin Mumtazali, 37, was the sole candidate of the election for the village head of Bukit Beruang National Housing Scheme, Zone 1, Mukim Telisai, Tutong District held at the Bukit Beruang Community Hall. Some residents also cast their ballots via the PMKK e-undi app.
Some 75 votes were registered, with all residents unanimously voting for Mohammad Sahan. Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya’akub who is also the Penghulu Mukim Ukong, and Acting Tutong District Officer Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, and village heads and acting village heads in Mukim Telisai also attended.
The results will be presented to the Board of Appointment, Discipline and Procedures for the Mukim Penghulu and Village Head at the Ministry of Home Affairs for the next step of the selection process. – Rokiah Mahmud
