Members of the Kampong Kilanas Mosque Takmir Committee yesterday organised ‘Berbagi Rezeki’ programme at the mosque to assist 28 underprivileged converts in Kampong Kilanas.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim attended the event as the guest of honour and handed over the donations.
The annual charitable drive aims to ease the burdens of the needy ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan.
The donations were derived from contributions from the takmir committee members, congregants and residents of Kampong Kilanas. – Rokiah Mahmud
