Brunei’s youth are encouraged to seize opportunities while they are still young and strong.
RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang Mosque youth group Fahmi bin Nona said this in his talk ‘Future-Ready Youth’ at the 146th Munajat on Saturday night.
“Al-Quran reminds the ummah that time waits for no one. Once a moment passes, it cannot be reclaimed,” he said.
He also urged youth to prioritise five key aspects before they are lost: youth before old age, health before sickness, free time before busyness, wealth before poverty, and life before death.
“Future-ready youth in the Sultanate should have a broad vision, reject falsehood, uphold religious truth, possess strong faith, and be energetic and intelligent, particularly in entrepreneurship.”
Fahmi also highlighted the importance of obeying Allah the Almighty’s commands to receive His mercy.
Meanwhile, Mosque affairs officer Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahuddin led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah from Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.
Attendees included youth groups from mosques, mosque takmir committee members, delegations from the Islamic Dakwah Centre, officers from the Islamic Propagation Unit in Tutong District, converts from Kampong Long Mayan, and staff from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
The event concluded with the recitation of Surah Al-Waqi’ah, Doa Munajat, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Organised by the MoRA, Munajat night invites the public to enhance their spiritual practices, seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, read Al-Quran verses and collectively pray for the Sultanate to be protected from calamities, disasters and diseases.
