Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) organised a Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim, at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.
Some 40 MPC staff led by Chief Operating Officer Fazilah bin Haji Yassin participated in the event. Imam of Setia Ali Mosque Pekan Muara Nasehin bin Haji Yahya led the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was the guest of honour.
The religious event also serves to glorify Ramadhan and strengthen ties among MPC staff. – Lyna Mohamad
