The Ministry of Health (MoH) donated daily necessities and medical equipment to 16 patients registered under the Medical Social Workers Services during the ministry’s MoH Prihatin project in the four districts yesterday.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar led a contingent of MoH officers and staff to visit five patients in the Brunei-Muara District.
Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin led the group in the Belait District to visit four patients, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the MoH Dr Ang Swee Hui led the group to visit five patients in Tutong District while Acting Director of Health Services Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif led a group to visit patients in Temburong District.
Patients who received donations included bedridden 16-year-old Mohammad Norizwan bin Laksman and four-month-old Muhammad Adzriel Amrullah bin Mohammad Faizal.
Muhammad Adzriel Amrullah’s mother Norzanah Rosli expressed gratitude for the donation of much-needed assistance for her child.
The MoH Prihatin programme is a welfare activity organised by the ministry to hand over donations collected under the Medical Welfare Service Patients Charitable Assistance Fund.
Contributions for the fund came from staff under the ministry, non-governmental organisations, the private sector and individual donations. – James Kon & Daniel Lim
