    MoE taking staff feedback

Human Resources Day is a platform for the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) non-teaching staff and school leaders to voice their concerns and get consultations for issues regarding administration and human resources development, said Acting Director of Department of Administration and Services at the MoE Pengiran Mohammad Jeffrynul Hafli bin Pengiran Haji Ali yesterday.

The acting director said feedback will be used to identify pressing issues and complaints for future initiatives to tackle.

Pengiran Mohammad Jeffrynul Hafli said the ministry also surveyed 352 individuals in June. Some 59 per cent of respondents were keen to know about employment matters such as special schemes and job placements while 51 per cent wanted to know about early retirement. Some 47 per cent wanted to know about leaves and allowances.

The acting director said the answers to these enquiries were in the one-day Human Resources Day exhibition.

Pengiran Mohammad Jeffrynul Hafli said the department also introduced courses and training programmes for MoE’s officers and staff.

The ministry also set up a MoE Employee Service Hub (MESH) portal to support its digital transformation plan. The portal has several functionalities such as Online Notification System (ONS) to send messages through WhatsApp as well as make reservations for meeting rooms and other facilities.

The acting director urged ministry staff to use the platform for better productivity and efficiency.

The Human Resources Day was launched by Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the MoE Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman. He also toured booths at the exhibition showcasing MESH, courses and activities. – Rokiah Mahmud
