The Ministry of Development (MoD) held a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim yesterday.
The ceremony, held at the Royal Mausoleum at Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja, was led by Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, joined by 550 personnel from the ministry, including Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) at the MoD Ir Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Zakaria.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, followed by mass Tahlil, led by mosque affairs officer from the Ministry of Religious Affairs Saufi bin Haji Suhaini, followed by the recitation of Doa Tahlil and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. – James Kon
