The Ministry of Health (MoH) organised a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony, Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony, a mass Asar prayer and donations presentation to orphans on Thursday, in conjunction with Ramadhan.
The event was held at Surau As-Salam at the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah (PMMPMHAMB) Hospital in Tutong District.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar presented donations to four orphans from the hospital’s staff members.
The ceremony was one of the annual religious activities held in rotation in the four districts to enliven Ramadhan, while also strengthening ties between the ministry’s staff and the staff of PMMPMHAMB Hospital.
Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Management) at the MoH Pengiran Mohammad Khiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusoff, department heads as well as officers and staff of the ministry were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
