The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah was the guest of honour at the event organised by MoFE’s Investment Division. The ceremony began with Sunnat Hajat prayers followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran. It concluded with a mass prayer led by Ministry of Religious Affairs officer Mohd Amin bin Haji Salim.
The event was held to express gratitude for the wise leadership of His Majesty and pray to Allah the Almighty to bless the monarch with good health, longevity, prosperity and continued reign with faith and divine guidance.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, acting permanent secretary, deputy permanent secretary and officials were also present. – James Kon
