Ministry announces May/June 2024 exam results

The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Department of Examinations released the results for the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘A’, ‘AS’, ‘O’ Level and IGCSE examinations for May/June 2024 Session on Thursday.

Some 93 candidates sat for the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level examination. Out of the total, 14 were school candidates and 79 were private candidates.

At the national level, 14 candidates (15.05 per cent) obtained at least three ‘A’ Levels and above, 37 candidates (39.78 per cent) obtained at least two ‘A’ Levels and above, and 75 candidates (80.65 per cent) obtained at least one ‘A’ Level and above.

At the school level, three candidates (21.43 per cent) obtained at least three ‘A’ Levels and above, nine candidates (64.29 per cent) obtained at least two ‘A’ Levels and above, and 12 candidates (85.71 per cent) obtained at least one ‘A’ Level and above.

Some 1,288 candidates sat for the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘AS’ Level examination and 1,275 were school candidates and 13 were private candidates.

At the national level, 713 candidates (55.36 per cent) obtained at least three ‘AS’ Levels and above, while 1,017 candidates (78.96 per cent) obtained at least two ‘AS’ Levels and above, and 1,219 candidates (94.64 per cent) obtained at least one ‘AS’ Level and above.

At the school level, 708 candidates (55.53 per cent) obtained at least three ‘AS’ Levels and above, while 1,011 candidates (79.29 per cent) obtained at least two ‘AS’ Levels and above, and 1,210 candidates (94.90 per cent) obtained at least one ‘AS’ Level and above.

Some 1,218 candidates sat for the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level/IGCSE examination and out of this total, 867 were school candidates and 351 were private candidates. At the national level, 46 candidates (3.78 per cent) obtained at least five ‘O’ Levels and IGCSE and above, 154 candidates (12.64 per cent) obtained at least four ‘O’ Levels and IGCSE and above.

At the school level, 45 candidates (5.19 per cent) obtained at least five ‘O’ Levels and IGCSE, and above, and 150 candidates (17.30 per cent) obtained at least four ‘O’ Levels and IGCSE and above.

Students can collect their result slips at their schools, while private candidates may collect theirs at the Department of Examination’s counter at One-Stop Centre, Ground Floor, Block C, MoE during office hours.

For candidates who wish to sit for the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘A’, ‘AS’, ‘O’ Level and IGCSE examinations for the October/November 2024 session, late entry registration will be opened on August 31.
