    Minister visits schools for new academic year

    Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh led a working visit to Berakas Secondary School, Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College (SOASC) and Menglait Secondary School yesterday, in conjunction with the beginning of the 2025 academic year.

    Among the objectives of the working visit was to review and observe first-hand the implementation of back-to-school activities, inspect school infrastructure and facilities and the Implementation of STEAM Education and Skills (SES) subjects.

    The minister first visited Berakas Secondary School and was welcomed by the school’s principal Alexander bin Bandang. At SOASC, the minister was greeted by principal Mohamed Santra bin Haji Bolhasan, while at Menglait Secondary School, the delegation was received by principal Huzaimi bin Moksin.

    During the visits, the minister observed the teaching and learning sessions and interacted with teachers and students. The minister also inspected the school facilities to ensure that the existing infrastructure is conducive to support teaching and learning activities.

    Permanent Secretary (Core Education), deputy permanent secretaries and heads of departments from the Ministry of Education were also present.
