Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) celebrated its 26th anniversary with a mass Maghrib prayer and Doa Kesyukuran at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong yesterday.
As part of its social investment initiative, the agency collaborated with the village heads of Kampong Jerudong ‘A’ and ‘B’, to organise an iftar ceremony for orphans the villages and students at the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei.
BGC Managing Director Captain Abdul Mateen Abdurrahman Liew, Village Head of Kampong Jerudong ‘A’ Mohammad Nazmi Fa’iz bin Haji Abu Bakar and Village Head of Kampong Jerudong ‘B’ Kamis bin Panjang were in attendance.
Sixty-two recipients, guests and BGC staff were also present.
The event began with the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Selamat, followed by the presentation of donations in the form of ‘eidiya’ to recipients.
The event aimed to inculcate the spirit of benevolence among BGC’s staff as well as interact and build relationships with local communities.
