Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN emphasised the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) core values, discipline and the importance of maintaining physical, mental and spiritual resilience as the foundation for their military careers.
He said this as the guest of honour during the Passing Out Parade Ceremony at the Parade Square, Penanjong Garrison yesterday in celebration of 124 male recruits of the 175th Intake and 46 female recruits of the 59th Intake of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) in completion of their Basic Military Training. The acting commander also reminded the recruits on their important role in defending the sovereignty, peace and security of Brunei Darussalam.
He also congratulated the recruits for their achievement and urged them to always uphold the highest level of professionalism and integrity in their duty as members of the RBAF.
As recognition of their outstanding performances throughout the training, awards were presented to the recruits and instructors who excelled in their categories. For the male recruits of the 175th Intake, Recruit (U) Muhammad Harith bin Dahlan was awarded the Overall Best Recruit, while Recruit Mohammad Syazwan bin Mohammad Khairulannuar was awarded Best in Military Skills. Recruit Md Shahezzul bin Sariman was awarded the Best in Light Weapon Training and Recruit Muhammad Illiya Wafiuddin bin Abdullah Romie was awarded Best in Physical Training.
The Best Section Commander Award was given to Corporal Muhamad Far’an bin Hamdani@Lileysurayani and the Best Platoon Sergeant Award was given to Corporal Mohammad Khairul Azwan bin Abd Hamid for their exceptional leadership and commitment throughout the training.
For the female recruits of the 59th Intake, Recruit Multazamah Siti Zuhairah binti Zulkifli was awarded the Overall Best Recruit, while Recruit Nuha Nadzirah binti Abdullah Md Salleh was awarded Best in Military Skills. Recruit Ummi Shuheida binti Mohd Nurfadillah was awarded the Best in Light Weapon Training and Recruit Nursyafiqah Nabilah binti Mohammad Haslan was awarded Best in Physical Training.
Meanwhile, Lance Corporal Farah Izzah@ Fatin Faizah binti Samat received the Best Section Commander Award. – James Kon
