Local Shahlidin bin Haji Ali, 44, was sentenced to 21 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to four charges of theft.
Magistrate Abdul ‘Azim bin Othman on Thursday handed the sentences to the defendant.
Prosecutor Nurul Husna binti Haji Abidin revealed that the defendant had stolen a speaker from a house in Kampong Jerudong belonging to a 29-year-old man sometime between November and December 2023.
The defendant also stole a gas cylinder from the house of an elderly woman in Kampong Jerudong sometime this year.
Sometime in April and May 2023, the defendant made away with a coconut grating machine from the same elderly woman’s house.
In 2022, he stole a rice cooker from the same victim. – Fadley Faisal
