Local student-athletes did the country proud after winning a flurry of medals during the CAK Sport Academy Track and Field Challenge Championship held recently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Abdullah Abas bin Abdullah led the Brunei team’s push with a gold medal in the under-16 individual men’s 1,500metres event after clocking a time of 4.29.03s.
His younger compatriot Muhammad Nurirfan bin Muhammad A’arafah came second and subsequently claimed the silver medal in the same category after charting a time of 4.29.10s.
Meanwhile, Kasful and Syura bagged the silver medals in their respective events.
The team was led by coach Younes Ammouta.
