A number of local racers took home accolades from the Sandakan Drag Battle 2024 R1 Borneo in Sabah, Malaysia recently.
Local drag racer Mohd Azrin bin Haji Untong from PM Star Racing Team won the N/A 1.6CC Pro Drag category while Mohd Noor Hanafi bin Haji Jumahat also from PM Star Racing Team also managed to finish third in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Iwan Azriman @Pele from Hondatech Racing Team won the Vtec Open Prostreet category while Abdul Rahman from RM Garage Team placed third.
Irwan Abdullah @Pun won the Vtec Truestreet category while Apeesh Ismail from Hondatech Racing Team placed fourth.
Shokry Musa from Hondatech Racing Team took third place in Vtec Real Street category and Abdul Rahman from RM Garage Team won the 2WD Turbo Prosteet category.
In the 2WD Turbo Pro Drag Category, Marco Chung took first place, Jun Fattyang took second place while in the 4WD Turbo Pro Drag category, Chong Huang Seng from H22 Team won first place and Edwin Jua from H22 Team won second.
