Members of two local kendo clubs, Fujin Kendo and Shirobara Kenyuu Kai, recently had the rare opportunity to train with highly skilled members of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF).

The session commenced with a full-body warm-up, followed by technique drills demonstrated by the JMSDF kendokas. The highlight of the event was a series of short sparring matches between the guests and selected members of the local clubs. Four matches took place, resulting in a 2-2 draw between the JMSDF and Brunei kendokas.

The session concluded with a group photo and an exchange of souvenirs between both teams, marking a memorable day of cultural exchange and martial arts training.
