The Tutong District Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE) organised the Projek Senada Kasih with the distribution of bubur kacang along the vicinity of the PKWE Multi-Purpose Hall in the Tutong District on Monday.
The charity project is one of the centre’s programmes centred towards community involvement.
The project aims to preserve the culture of working together as a practice of people from the past so that it does not disappear in the face of time; skills sharing among members in performing a job and to support Brunei Vision 2035 in building a resilient and united society.
The preparation of the bubur kacang was handled by the centre’s members including cooking and packing before distributing it through drive-thru. Acting Tutong District Officer Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri was the guest of honour.
Apart from the bubur kacang distribution programme, further programmes will be worked on in a similar project. – Fadhil Yunus
