The Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College recently held its ‘Pantaran Ilmu 9’ at the Student Learning Centre of its premises.
The workshop, focusing on mentoring and coaching was facilitated by MDPMAMB Principal Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad.
A total of 35 lecturers from the college attended the workshop curated for the college’s senior masters and mistresses with their assistants, department heads and their assistants as well as BTS (Brunei Teachers’ Standards) – TPA (Teacher Performance Appraisal) evaluators.
The ‘Pantaran Ilmu 9’ was organised by the Teachers Professional Development (TPD) Section of the college.
The objectives of the course were to help the lecturers understand the role of teachers as leaders in coaching and mentoring and to gain essential skills as well as to use the growth framework effectively.
The workshop also expose participants to formal and informal models of coaching and mentoring. – Azlan Othman
