    Learning from the real world

The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Bolkiah Campus (SBC) kicked off its IBTE Business ‘Eat n Play’ yesterday as part of the HNTec in Business (Business Management) course to provide students an opportunity in learning in the real world.

Sponsored and supported by the Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) the event saw booths set up by the students as well as local entrepreneurs. IBTE SBC instructor Alipah Aini binti Aliakat believes the event serves as a practical test for the 51 students studying event management.

“The ‘Eat n Play’ helps to create an environment where the students not only get to apply their theoretical knowledge, which they have honed since February but also test their event management skills in organising and handling large-scale functions, such as managing vendors and customers.”
