UPI – In Mexico, a city achieved a remarkable feat by shattering a Guinness World Record, crafting a colossal ball of pulled quesillo cheese weighing a staggering 1,230 pounds.
Municipal President of Pijijiapan, Chiapas Carlos Alberto Albores Lima proudly confirmed that this monumental quesillo ball, also recognised as oaxaca cheese, not only exceeded expectations but also officially surpassed the previous record of 738.5 pounds set in Acatlán, Hidalgo, in 2022.
The creation of this cheese involved meticulously stretching cords of cheese, resulting in a tightly-woven masterpiece. Lima revealed that the dedicated team behind this endeavour had initially prepared over 1,500 pounds of cheese for the attempt but decided to cap it at 1,230 pounds to prevent excessive strain on the rolling machine.
Upon completion, the colossal cheese ball measured an impressive three feet in diameter, a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship involved in this record-breaking achievement.
