Some 80 students attended a career talk organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Tourism Development Department recently.
The talk focusing on career planning, provided the students with a diverse understanding of hospitality and tourism.
Industry experts from Aman Hills Hotel, Royal Brunei Culinary, and TravelHub Tours and Travel Sdn Bhd shared their insights and experiences, highlighting career paths in areas such as travel, tourism and culinary arts. Following the career talk, a mini exhibition was held in collaboration with the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and Youth Development Centre, showcasing courses related to the field.
The Tourism Development Department plans to continue collaborating with educational institutions across the Sultanate to conduct more career talks, providing students with insights and guidance for their future careers in the tourism and hospitality sector.The department held similar talk at Tutong Sixth Form Centre and Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School. – James Kon
