Kia Asia Pacific marked a milestone with the inauguration of the 2024 Kia EV Day at Asia Pacific, following the success of the global Kia EV Day in 2023.
The event continues to cement Kia as a sustainable mobility solutions provider showcasing a portion of its impressive line-up of market-ready and concept electrical vehicles (EVs) in Taiwan.
Continuing the momentum from its rebrand in 2021 – with a new minimalist logo and looking to inspire the EV revolution, the 2024 Kia EV Day at Asia Pacific highlighted Kia’s newest electric models and groundbreaking technologies, reinforcing its position as an EV-centric brand for everyone.
The event was anchored by the first-ever showcase in Asia Pacific of the Kia EV3, that will be launched in selected Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries in 2025 and the new Concept PV5. Also on display was the EV of the future, Concept EV4.

The highlight of the event was a closer look at the Kia EV3 which brings the innovative technology of the flagship EV9 sports utility vehicle (SUV) to set new standards in the compact EV SUV segment.
Designed with all the innovation and technology of the previous Kia EVs the EV3 is primed to tap into the demand for an entry level compact EV SUV. The EV3 is slated to go on sale in selected APAC countries come 2025 and is aimed at enhancing EV accessibility accelerating Kia’s transition into a sustainable mobility solution provided.
Adopting the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, Kia’s EV3 features boxy rear fenders, a sloping roofline as well as a robust stance delivering a modern sporty design that is sure to appeal. Embodying the latest in Kia’s driving technology, the EV3 is built on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform and features Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (eDTVC) for optimum traction on the move.
The vehicle also includes a variety of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Driving Assist 2, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist. However, the 2024 Kia EV Day was also about the EVs of tomorrow with Kia showing off their Concept EV4 and for the first time in the region, the Concept PV5.
The Concept EV4 represents the purity of the ‘Power to Progress’ pillar of the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. It merges earth-inspired aesthetics with cutting-edge technology to present a striking silhouette with a spacious driver-centric design delivering modern luxury and an entirely new type of EV sedan.
The PV5 Concept, is Kia’s first dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV), a concept that goes beyond traditional vehicles to provide a total mobility solution that incorporates the ultimate in spatiality and software technology. Designed with diversity in mind – from business to adventure, the PV5 sports a robust and simple design focused on delivering a customisable model tailormade to be multipurpose whether it is ride hailing, logistics and personal lifestyle activities.
Also on display was the flagship Kia EV9, which was also showcased during the 2024 Kia EV Day at Asia Pacific.
The EV9 has garnered worldwide recognition and accolades including the Supreme Winner of the 2024 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year and wins at the 2024 World Car Awards.
