The Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association (PPPBD) hosted a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at its headquarters yesterday in conjunction with the birthday of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam. The event also aimed at fostering a culture of Al-Quran reading, understanding and enhance spiritual growth among members.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Al-Quran, which started with Sayyidul Istighfar, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Surah Al-Fatihah led by PPPBD Spiritual Commissioner
Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani, followed with Takhtim by Khatam participants led by the young leaders group.
Meanwhile, Doa Khatam was led by PPPBD Commissioner Young Leader Dr Mariam binti Haji Abdul Rahman and Doa Selamat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam led by the PPPBD Spiritual Commissioner. – Lyna Mohamad
