The village consultative councils of Kampong Lumut 1, 2, and 3 launched a beach cleaning campaign ahead of the Pesta Pantai Lumut 2024, which will be held from August 30 to September 1.
Village Head of Kampung Lumut 2 Haji Khairdon bin Haji Dahlan said, the campaign was held in collaboration with the Oiltown Safety Committee Brunei (OSCB).
The festival will also celebrate His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday.
The festival will host activities such as Nostalgia Muzikarama Night and stage performances, as well as booths and stalls by local businesses and entrepreneurs.
The event will feature an 18-kilometre cycling event on September 1, which has invited cyclists across the country to ride through some scenic and iconic sights, said Haji Khairdon.
